Launch48 is here for people that want to be part of a startup, from those with the skills to get a startup going to those dreamers with the next big idea but no team and no idea of how to get it moving.
Launch48 brings together people of all skill sets and experiences to create ideas, build products and launch their own startup.
Through Launch48 Weekend, Launch48 Launchpad, and Launch48 Online, Launch48 is a catalyst for new entrepreneurs.
Since launching in 2009 Launch48 has helped over 50 startups with alumni going on to accelerators such as 500Startups, Seedcamp, Springboard, and Oxygen Accelerator.
For the first time, Launch48 will be held in the Philippines at Unionbank Plaza, Ortigas, Pasig City in two parts:
- Part 1 – Launch48 – April 19, 20, & 21, 2013
- Part 2 – LaunchPad – April 22, 23, & 24, 2013

Andrew Jervis Founder of PieBoy Clothing
Brought up on the Isle of Man, Andrew attended school in Yorkshire and the USA before undertaking his 2:1 (Hons) undergraduate business degree at Lancaster University. Andrew then spent time working for an AIM listed offshore bank before starting his first start up, an online automotive parts business called QuickHubs. In 2011 he embarked on a Masters of Enterprise at the University of University of Manchester. While at Manchester, Andrew became Vice President of the Enterprise Society, graduated with a Distinction and launched PieBoy Clothing, an Urban Student Fashion Brand which won contracts to supply some of the biggest Universities in the UK (this now stands at 12 Universities). PieBoy still trades today, under the stewardship of a new team while Andrew has stepped away from the day to day activities. Despite the success of PieBoy, Andrew wanted to target the bigger problem of car repair in the UK, which he identified while running his former parts business. This ambition closely matched the goals of London based technology accelerator Entrepreneur First, and returning to the automotive industry he co-founded ClickMechanic with the aim of making car repair easy.
There’s more to Launch48 than the usual startup program. Not only do you get to launch your web startup in 48 hours, there’s a follow-up program where mentors will help refine your business plan and get funding from some of the UK’s most successful tech entrepreneurs.
