Intro to Biohacking – Be Smarter, Stronger, and Happier
Introductory guide to improving performance in everything you do from fitness and nutrition, to productivity and sleep
What would you say if I told you that you were limiting your body? That you were capable of running so much further, so much faster, of working harder, of lifting heavier, of living better. Nearly everyone on this planet has sold themselves short, limited their bodies and potential by the things they do. Through inappropriate diet, habits, and lifestyle choices, our bodies can start to turn against us, making weaker, fragile, and lazier.
With Intro to Biohacking, I will teach you how to reclaim your life. You will learn how to properly train your muscles, strengthen your mind, and turn your body into a machine that will maximize your potential in life. You won’t be held back by your job or any limits you thought you had, instead, you will learn how to see limits as mere obstacles, and how to overcome them.
The Intro to Biohacking Course will cover increasing efficiency in multiple categories. By trying to increase the effectiveness in multiple parts, you help maximize the strength of the whole.
Some of the categories covered in the course are:
Fitness – Very often, the strength of our mind is limited by the strength of our body. It becomes easier to mentally strengthen ourselves when we have confidence in our physical ability. In the course, you will learn simple ways to help strength your muscles and improve your overall fitness.
Nutrition – Just like a jet engine cannot run on diesel fuel, we cannot eat food with low nutritional value and high calories and expect our body to run efficiently. By choosing the appropriate foods, we can feel more energetic, productive, and even loose some unneeded weight.
Sleep – The human body is a brilliant thing, but sometimes we expect too much and push them too far. Sleep is extremely vital; it refreshes the mind and repairs the body. But not all sleep is created equal (as anyone who has slept for an hour on a hard floor would know), and finding the most efficient way to sleep can be a major step forward in keeping your mind fresh and your body energized.
Mind – As our physical ability grows, we are able to strengthen the mind as well. In the course, we will focus on techniques and training to help your mind become a greater tool of your body, whether to destress life or increase your cognitive functions.
Supplements – While eating healthy foods and increasing our body’s abilities through natural ways is vital, there are certain supplements that allow us to push our limits even further. You will learn which supplements you are encouraged to take, and which are best avoided.
Productivity – There isn’t much point in having a strong mind and body if we are too lazy to utilize them. A fair portion of the course will focus on increasing your productivity, ensuring that your newfound strength and energy are not wasted.
Self-Tracking – We all have habits and quirks, but to many of us, we are completely unaware of them, even if they’re affecting how we live. Through self-tracking, we learn to identify patterns that we go through, and with these patterns we can learn ways to become more efficient and productive.
Every category in the course will have three basic recommendations, which you are highly encouraged to follow. For those wishing to learn more or push themselves further, there is an advanced recommendation for each category.
Who Am I?
You may be wondering what gives me the right to teach you something as deep or personal as Biohacking. My name is Ari Meisel, and in 2006 I was diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease. The disease wrecked my body physically, and my mind started to follow. When you’re forced to take dozens of medications and go through numerous hospital visits just to maintain some semblance of health, your outlook on life can start to darken.
But I wasn’t going to be beaten.
I started to reclaim my body. I went through rigorous exercise, ate better, took the right supplements, and altogether installed a strict regime in my life that allowed my tired body to become stronger and healthier. The symptoms of Crohn’s Disease started to weaken and fade, until I was able to cut out the medication completely.
By training my body and pushing myself in the right ways, I manage to beat an incurable disease.
Since then, I’ve done so much with my life. I’ve learned how to automate businesses via outsourcing; I’ve competed in an Ironman, given seminars and even a regional TED talk. Through Biohacking, I’ve lived my life.
And you should live yours.
